As we move forward with healthcare transformation, difficult tasks must be made easier, and the work flow of primary care must be radically improved. To illustrate this, I offer the following:
1. The second quarter of 2014 ended on June 30th. SETMA’s public reporting is updated quarterly. As of the afternoon yesterday, July 1st, all of SETMA’s public reporting of provider performance by provider name had been updated and posted at www.jameslhollymd.com. Ths was less than 24 hours after then end of the quarter. This can be reviewed at: http://www.jameslhollymd.com/public-reporting/public-reports-by-type. These results will be reviewed in SETMA’s July and August provider, half—day, training meeting. We will discuss areas of weakness and how we can improve our performance. Remember our method is that these performance metrics are fulfilled INCIDENTAL to excellence in care and not as the INTENT of excellent care. The future will not be realized without robust data analytics and public reporting by provider name. Once you have opened the books to the public on provider performance, you have only one place to hide and that is in EXCELLENCE.
2. To take the burden off primary care providers, we must make it easier to perform excellently. We believe that the logical extension and value of clinical decision support will be found in the adoption of SETMA’s The Automated Team which can be reviewed at: http://www.jameslhollymd.com/epm-tools/Automated-Team-Tutorial-for-the-EMR-Automated-Team-Function. We estimate that this will reduce the burden on primary care providers by 30% by improving and sustaining the quality of care and fulfilling the Triple Aim.
3. SETMA’s philosophy and practice of data analytics is described in our report submitted to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in 2010. This can be reviewed at:

4. All of this is founded upon SETMA’s Model of Care which can be review at: http://jameslhollymd.com/the-setma-way/setma-model-of-care-pc-mh-healthcare-innovation-the-future-of-healthcare
