About SETMA - SETMA's Infusion Center

Established in 1995, SETMA’s core principle was to elevate the standard of care for the entire Golden Triangle community. It was therefore imperative to bring more services and resources to bear for the improvement of the care of our patients. One of those advancements was the joining of SETMA by Dr Vijay Kumar, a Board certified Rheumatologist. Rheumatology services were and are a great need in the community as Southeast Texas is an underserved area in this specialty for many years.

Under the leadership of Dr Kumar and Dr. Anwar, SETMA’s Chief Medical Officer, SETMA established the first biological infusion center in Southeast Texas outside of a hospital setting. This state of the Art center has the capability to manage diseases like,

Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus etc
Osteoporosis
Crohns Disease
Ulcerative colitis
Various infections

With the latest equipment and managed by experienced staff, the center has already served hundreds of patients with excellent results. The center is also interfaced with SETMA’s electronic medical records where all the results and drug regimens become part of the patients medical record the instant they are instituted. The continuity of care is seamless between specialty care and the primary care physicians’ record.
