I really enjoyed your presentation. Your commitment and investment in using measurement to drive learning and quality is quite impressive.
The use of Lincoln’s speech is brilliant.
I like that you discuss the importance of moving beyond measures to business analytics, to trend analysis and pattern recognition, to looking at standard deviation and not just means (to focus on not leaving any patients behind), to turning measures into point-of-care tools as well as population management tools, and to being publicly transparent about physician-level measures.
I also like your frame-work that measures are not enough
The Substance Evidence - based medicine and comprehensive health promotion
The Method Electronic Patient Management
The Dynamic Patient - Centered Medical Home
The Funding Capitation and Payment for Quality
I hope NQF invites you to their next annual meeting. Congratulations on your recent PCPCC award.
