Dear Dr. Holly, I add my voice to all the accompanying hosts and guests: it was a privilege to be with you and to reflect on the inspiring example that you set for all of us.  We are deeply grateful for  all your many forms of support: the boundless moral  and spiritual support that you uniquely share, and  also the magnificently generous financial support, for many years!  With great respect,  Ruth

Dear Larry,  What a lovely evening, with you and Carolyn as our esteemed guests of honor.    Heartfelt gratitude to you both, always.   And thank you for sending your moving remarks at graduation last year --- words you clearly live by that are a compass for us.    With affection, gratitude and admiration,    Bill

Subject: Thank you

This is my May, 2016 Commencement address to my undergraduate university. The two sections "make a life," and "pay your debt," are relevant to our dinner last night.

Your Life Your Health - Northwestern State University Commencement Address 2016

I do not have the words to express what last night meant to me and to Carolyn. I thank each of you and all of you for this great gift.

As I approach my 74th birthday, I am filled with gratitude.  When I was Alumni President of the School of Medicine, I envisioned the alumni giving 10 million dollars over ten years to the school.  This morning I awoke with the dream, "what if...". Could it be?  I would never have. imagine last night. Why not a bigger dream?

Sincerely and gratefully,

Larry and Carolyn
