SETMA’s Approach to MACRA and MIPS
Below is a brief description and link to the various formats of my key-note address to the Texas Regional HIMSS Conference, May 25-26, 2017. MACRA and MIPS are major initiatives facing healthcare providers over the next 1-10 years. In this presentation, I address:
- How the Four Standards of MIPS relate to SETMA’s Four Principles of the Future of Healthcare (see slides 11, 21, 22, 23)
- How MACRA and MIPS do not avoid the pitfalls defined by SETMA over the past 22 years (Slides 24-31)
- How SETMA’s 2014 performance and CMS’ 2015 Audit Prepared SETMA for the future (Slides 31-40)
- How SETMA prepared for MIPS and how we daily audit our performance reflecting that preparation (slides 7-12, 41-48)
- Addendum: SETMA’s Tutorial for fulfilling MIPS and Daily Auditing Provider Point-of-Care Performance (slides 49-82)
